Agree with Jon, price is right for the correct dealer oil. One litre bottles to topup with cost about that.

Longlife oil for petrol engines is even more expensive!

Yes - for variable servicing where the oil is spec 503 00/506 00/506 01. The Fabia vRS is on fixed service intervals and uses 505 01 oil which isn't a Longlife one.

I've just had a look at Opie Oils' prices for Titan Supersyn SL PD 5W-40 which is recommended for the PD engine on fixed service intervals. They charge

Would the original dealer be Barnetts in the Lang toon, if so I know now to avoid Arnold.

It was indeed - think I'll try Barnetts V.W in St Andrews next time. Maybe they won't leave the front footwell full of leaves and other assorted sh**e after changing the pollen filter.
