Funny you mention that, I saw a couple of guys on the Nurburgring driving ST's and tbh it looked rather twitchy. Lots of lift off oversteer!

first thing that greeted me on the sunday of my last visit was one of the stoc cars coming off on the back of an adac truck all smashed up

Nice to see you back in a VRS! :)

Absolutely loved your first Fab Vrs, the TT comps were the best I've seen!

Big fan of the focus too!

P.S. Welcome back!

did you also find the focus handles dangerously on uneven surfaces too? I did was looking at getting one a couple of years ago but on our local back roads in was deadly and unpredictable

yeah must be the big wheels, pulls on any slight bump in the road

handling was pretty good though and yeah there was a bit of lift off oversteer but thats good isnt it?? ;)

Civic was nice, no i love vtec :) i only had the car a short space of time, stuck it on its roof :(

Ah right lol! Nightmare that! Hard job that mustve been they're meant to be quite stable :-p. Dunno if you've driven a DC2 but if you're ever near Newcastle you're free to try mine, just don't put it on it's roof haha ;-)

spoon 4 pots

work wheels

skunk 2 inlet

edelbrok valve springs

4-1 mugen manifold

mugen twin loop

hks intake

spoon ecu

was modded upto the moon....

it was quite easy, lift off oversteer :(

Wow nice spec! All that mustve went for a pretty penny :-). Oh well ya new vRS looks cracking bud lovely colour too ;-)

Nice car this, glad to see it in the hands of someone who will look after it better than the previous owner....

Last time I saw it, it looked f****d !

don't know what the exact problem was,but i was brought up on rwd,so don't consider oversteer to be anything out of the ordinary,it was more jittery on a rough road it never felt comfortable on anything but a smooth surface,i felt the same thing on a lap of the ring in one too

Good to see you back in a vRS :)

Looks nice, spec is very good :D

Mate borrowed a new ST3 from his work (Ford IT) must say it handles pretty well on back roads, the noise is awesome too!

a nice collection of cars youve had/got there. the black fabia in the last pic ( nose to nose with the yellow one) im sure ive seen that around sheffield, and who ever owns it drives like an absolute idiot from what ive seen!

Welcome back mate! I know you didnt put the intercooler on but have you got any pics with the bumper off? Or any of how much of the bumper has been trimmed? I currently have a Seat sport FMIC sitting in the boot, needs to be on the front really!

No worries mate! Its for a ibiza cupra, i'm going to buy the forge pipe fitting kit for the ibiza and we'll go from there! I cant really see it being hugely different to an ibiza!?

the forge one will be completely different.

my top intercooler hose is oem seat plastic and is a funky shape so im guessn its just the ibiza top pipe they've used, then it just goes onto a straight samco coupler at 63mm internal diameter and it connects to the oem skoda top intercooler boost hose....

then the bottom one is just a 90 degree bend downwards in silicone and then a custom hose to go to the oem skoda pipe under the car...

all you'll need is the top ibiza pipe (plastic)

1 100mm long 63mm internal diameter coupler

and a custom made bottom intercooler metal pipe

and 1 90 degree bend to come off the bottom of the intercooler

id say the forge fitting kit will be useless

it doesnt look too hard to do :)

ahh that looks bob on that! better than the set up i seem to be running, id say by looking at it that will fit no problem, crash bar will need trimmed though!!

see the seat sport FMIC is it standard on the ibiza or is it an extra?

also is it from the 1.8 20v? or the tdi? just curious

Its standard for both. It does look farping huge to be fair! I should imagine i'l have to trim the bumper a little aswell!?

some nice motors you got thru, and kinda nice to know you have returned to a fabia after them! lol. Quick question, i`m just in the process of adding up the cos of various parts to put a hybrid on my fabia. The two options for the FMIC i`v seen so far are either the pro alloy one from jabba, or the forge one, which i`v heard isnt great for big hp. Is this seat sport one good for big power? or is it only a small upgrade on the std SMIC? Any idea on price/where from?

Thanks

Matt

Lovin the yellow BTW

yes i dont believe the forge is that great for big bhp as a large section of the intercooler is hidden behind the crash bar as it has the intercooler hose along the bottom.

As far as im aware the seat sport fmic is the LARGEST you can fit to a Fabia, the cooler you can get from seat, its used on both the pd160 cupra tdi and the petrol 1.8t

forge do a fitting kit for the ibiza tdi, im sure with a bit of jiggery pokery you could make it fit the fabia, it looks to me as if it would fit.

My pipes are custom made ones i have no idea what from?

the top one looks like an ibiza tdi top part with map sensor included.. but the bottom one is definately custom

got you some pictures :)
