Nearest so first home, and managed to up load the pictures @

My link

Don't know why, but the seem to be in the wrong order, in that the last is first!!

Thanks to Lady P, The Plumber, Aerofurb, and Freshacre for making it a good day. Some interesting results for me, and further confirmation that I WILL be ordering a Yeti.

Red shows the dirt most, and the white one looked cleanest.

The Yeti can cope well with this sort of rough lane.

Perhaps I might be persuaded to do it again, but now you know what they are capable off, how about someone else having a go?

love the photos. you had the best weather and looks like you all had a good time (hope someone had a pimms for me) i wish i was there in the snow monster with the air con on instead of laying a york stone patio.

Hi Gang

What a day we had - great cars, great company, and a great team leader who knew exactly where to go for a testing day out. Thank you Llanigraham!!

Here are my edited pics!

Which hopefully will work!! (and I have just tested it and IT DOES)

Loads of photos of the Yeti-types having an adventure.

There was even a moment when one car had a rear wheel off the ground as he negotiated a molehill. Ha

They sure did!!! Great pics! And faces too! Now to put the right face to the right car... emoticon-0104-surprised.gif Unlike facebook on the SMOC and flickr you can't tag people!

Great pics - looks like you had good time.

Cracking pics! Reinforces my thought that white is the best colour for the Yeti. B)

What a great day! :sun:

A BIG "Thank You" to Llanigraham  for planning, organising and leading us on our 1st Yeti off road adventure...may there be many more to come and with lots more of us too

We had a 1 hour 40min journey through The Marches to The Elan Valley in Powys through glorious countryside awash with bluebells and blossum from blackthorn, rowen, elder, guelder rose and lambs everywhere and with the sun shining!

Arrived at the visitor centre to find Llanigraham in his Freelander awaiting us alongside The Plumber (TP) and aerofurb...Freshacre made a mad dash entrance and parked broadside before bounding over to us all with a hearty hail :hi:

We had all made it! And now the Adventure could begin...

Looking down at the broken dam the airmen practised on before the dambuster raids...a beautiful if narrow-(wouldn't like to fly through there!) wooded valley...

Left we have Freshacres 170 Elegance in Aqua Blue. On the Right at the rear is Lady Penelopes 140 Elegance in Cappucinno, in the middle we have TPs 140 SE in Red and at the front ...most of aerofurbs 170 Elegance in White.

Freshacre...casting an admiring glance at his Yeti across the lane! with aerofurb near the front of his "Glow White" Monster!

What a backdrop! 4 Happy Yetis smiling in the sunshine...

TPs Red Pat is the by far the shiniest before we set off...Freshacres Aqua Blue was showing its previous off road experience...by having mud splatters still on it to prove it :giggle

At this point I dropped my camera :o and broke the lens :'( so no more photos with that...

...however I did take some more and some video of the off road drive with my iphone...so when I have figured out how to transfer (where is the manual?) and then edit video... I will post those too!!

Along the way we spotted a red kite, some sand martins I think, canada geese, 2 fishermen with the only car we saw, 8 cyclists, 2 walkers, loads of sheep and lambs and at the picnic area... horses and Donkeys...one of whom was very keen to try TPs quiche

After lunch and Pimms and sitting in the sun with friendly Yeti folk and more Pimms I was decidedly mellow...But we had to rouse ourselves and head back...no time for snoozing in the deck chairs today!

We finished back at the car park with the dam backdrop to compare dusty steeds, Tps Red Pat was most dusty...and aeros White... still looked B) white

We had to dash back to Worcestershire but TP was staying over... so who knows what extra adventures he and Pat are having today...we'll hear later hopefully.

It was a most enjoyable jaunt  Thank you to all who went for a great day!

best wishes

Hi all,

well I've eventually made it home after a truly excellent day yesterday emoticon-0100-smile.gifemoticon-0100-smile.gifemoticon-0100-smile.gif Thanks to all who took part for making it such a good day.

Despite having a bit of back trouble at the moment, I decide to push for home; besides a very short stop for fuel, PAT and I completed the 217 mile journey (from the B&B ) in 4 hours with a average MPG reading of 49.7 emoticon-0103-cool.gif

Will post my photo's shortly.

Regards,

TP

And eventually, I replies! New computer up and running, my cunning plan of accessing the interweb from work failed when our system crashed on Saturday. Good things these computers...

Anyway, many thanks to Leader Graham for the organisation and others for making it a most enjoyable day out in deepest (but not darkest) Wales. I'll post pics when I get time but they're in much the same ilk as the others : white YETI cleanest, red YETI most cappachino by the end of it... (One Tibetan White SM was washed again on Sunday to get the dust off...).

For the number crunchers, mine was a 165 mile trip there, averaging 57mph, 43.7mpg. For the whole day it was 361 miles, 45mph and 43.3mpg. Not bad given that in the 8 hrs 2 mins of driving that day, there was probably 90 mins of 2nd gear trailing. Route was M40, M42, M5 and A44 (and the A44 is a fun road...!).
