In the destruction manual for the Fabia it says that in some markets there is a bleep which sounds when you hit 120km/h (reminding me of something very annoying in an NZ hire car years back).

I'm wondering whether it would be possible to set the computer to do this here at 100mph - I'm finding it very easy for my speed to creep up on the motorway without noticing it and also find the lack of 100 marking on the speedo totally ridiculous (goes straight from 90 to 110).

Any info gratefully received...

Surely it would be better to set it to 70mph I've not seen this option in VAG-COM when I've played with it, but it may well be enabled in there......?

Cheeky, you can always get K to retro-fit cruise. An essential licence saver on long motorway trips. I agree, speed does just creep up

K was having problems fitting this to cars from MY04 upwards IIRC.

Try using this cruise control

It fits on the accelerator pedal

I have factory-fit cruise and do use it when I'm in that kind of mood, which isn't all the time sadly! I suppose I should make more use of it.

I do find it very useful on roads like the A2 from Bexley towards London where it's 2 or 3 lane but with a 50 limit and cameras...
