Rover 75 in the top 10? Bl**dy Hell

obviously not the 1.8s then with their head gasket issues :)

I always thought is was the Rover 75 owners who had problems with their heads.

For buying a Rover in the first place no doubt... :giggle:

Actually their cars are virtually unsaleable, therefore they are lumbered. Unwanted and shackled, so the only course of action left is to vote, vote vote.

Quite sad really.

PMSL!!! "Its a Golf but not a Golf"..............no you numptie its one better!!! HAHAHA!!!

I've not been rubbing this in at work AT ALL!!!!

really? first I heard about this. Nout wrong with the 75. Yes the 1.8K unit some did have problems but most of the later models this was solved.

Probably based on the 2.0CDT unit.

Interesting to know what years this covers as the 75 has not been sold for what 5 years now?

75 in the top ten smacks of an Internet viral voting effort.

Not that much wrong with the 75 its just that not very sought after, especially the thirsty V6.

The survey covered car's from 1999 to 2005 - cradle to grave. RIP.

So how does the Golf Mark 6, Megane III and Jaguar XF get in the survey? They're well after 2005 (not sure when the i30 it the market...)

A Renault and a Rover in the top 10 does rather discredit the whole thing.

and some folk complain about Skoda badge snobbery!!!!!!!!!

This was a Diesel Car survey and both have top notch power units. IMHO the Rover 75 is a greatly under rated car.

Well, looks like my next car will have to be either an Hyundai i30 or Jaguar XF. I'll see what the wife wants!

Nothing to do with snobbery at all. When I was in the motor trade you wouldn't have wanted either of those on the forecourt. Too much liability.

Rover 75 is a modified 5 series floorpan so its based on a cracking car ( hence the rwd v8 being easy and cheap to engineer )

Where did the Fabia come?

Actually, I'm in agreement with you there. My stepdad has one and it isn't a bad car and I cam really close to buying an MG ZT on more than one occasion...

17th overall and 2nd in the Supermini group (the new Jazz won and the old Jazz was 3rd)

I had a Peugeot 406 at the time, it was a good dream emoticon-0110-tongueout.gif

If this is the case, this means that the 75 owners would have to be able to work the Internet
