Looks like re-fitting the bumper pushed the pipework back making it contact. Not good.

Beginning to wonder why I started this. Should have bought a proper kit.

First job was to fix the brackets as it was miles out from being straight.

So it all needs to come apart again and I have two options - try and adjust it in the place it's in - probably need to make the U bend a little tighter.

Other option is to modify the pipes I have left over and make it go behind the headlight again. I've realised one of them will fit there but it means cutting down the MAP sensor and DV pipes a bit more and a few more mods to the pipes, so once I start down that road there's no going back to this way. Probably a better option but will definitely take another full day to get done I think.

Then I need to adjust the turbo end - maybe trim down the pipe that's onto the top of the turbo as it hits the strut brace at the moment. Something the seller assured me it wouldn't do :D

No time this weekend though. Parent and baby show on Sat followed by a Ta Moko event at the national museum - the chance to meet about ten of NZ's master ta moko artists. Need to book one of them to do me a piece to celebrate the impending birth of our daughter :D

Then I have to take SWMBO into work on Sunday so no car dismantling. I need a second car :giggle:

Seems like a lot of work for the savings there Rob.

Well done on your efforts though

that sucks dude, looks like you are having a lot of grief!

Okay I take back what I said about the turbo end - it doesn't rub if it's adjusted properly:

im thinking about one of these kits, the turbo inlet pipe did this come with the kit? if not could you just uterlise the origanal? i.e removing the 90 degree rubber hose replacing it with a straight hose and cutting it to sise?

I'm not sure exactly what you mean - the turbo outlet? The one that comes off the top of the turbo?

It fits okay now I've done some adjusting and wiggling :D

Yes i have gone from thinking about it to i have brought one lol, yes the turbo outlet was this in the kit?

Yes - everything was in the kit and it would have fit with minimal adjustment I think if I didn't have Xenon headlights.

Apart from the missing MAP sensor port of course!

Ahhh yes this one has the sensor port included thanks for the help mate im loving my octy estate i hope you dont mind me stealing most of ur ideas!

When I searched a while ago I found the silver version at a UK supplier but not the black. They're made in Italy so the manufacturer is a lot closer to you than to me!! :)
