Engine oil leak from intercooler hoses.

Featured Replies

Can anyone help. whilst checking on a steering problem i decided to remove the sump guard. when i dropped the guard i noticed oil all over it under the intercooler. i checked it over and both top and botton hoses are bladdered in oil. can anyone advise what this will be?? i can only think of oil coming through the turbo.

Thanks

yes boost hoses will need replaced :)

there a common weak point

get down to skoda and order a new top and bottom ic hose...

top is £25

i think the bottom one is ridiculously priced at £80 or something, what i did was self tapper the bottom one to the intercooler, saved myself £80 and it never leaked again :)

Most likely oil vapor from the PCV system, which blows oil vapor into the intake pipework, which in turn goes into the intercooler. Easy fix is to do the PCV elephant hose mod, and vent PCV to a catch can. Your EGR is also likely to be caked in oil and soot build up.
