Hi all.just thought I`d best introduce myself. After years of being in the french car scene with Peugeot 306`s I`m going VAG and I`m looking for a mk1 Octavia vRS estate as a practical works car that can shift abit when the need arises :D I`ll be looking in the classifieds ASAP..

Cheers, Pete

Cheers guys. Great forum you`ve got here, been reading the buyers guide and its nice to see no "TXT TLK"

Welcome :) TXT TLK? WTF is that :)

Hey,

The Mk1 VRS Estate is the way to go. I've had mine just over 2 years now, and can't fault it - reliable, economic, and damn quick!

Hope you find the car you want!

I want yours :giggle: Really want a black or red one,but all the estates seem to be silver!

Welcome to Briskoda

The advantage of buying a silver estate is you can put a second aerial on the back window, a fluorescent jacket on the parcel shelf and then terrorise the local boy racers late at night

P.s. If you don't mind getting a couple of mpg less and not having the VRS interior then the 1.8T 4x4 is a great 2nd choice, it pulls out of corners a damn sight quicker than a VRS and most of them come with toys the VRS didn't have (Xenons, heated seats, etc), heres a black one:
