Anyone else had airbag issues?

A few weeks back my light came on when 300 miles away from home. Nearest dealer told me a wire behind glovebox had become detached - fixed it and rerouted wire. week later , on again. intermittent short/open cct on passenger airbag , diagnostics said. not traced down. Reset. came on later and diag said airbag switch faulty - local dealer changed it. Lasted 8 days then back. Now says airbag off warning light at fault. awaiting resolution.

Sound familiar to anyone ? I am told that if fault light is on, none of the airbags will work.

I had a similar problem with the airbag warning light, although I was seeing a few more faults as well. Mine was traced to a faulty ignition switched and I've had no further problems since it was replaced under warranty.
