I still havent had my free sticker I would like an external old style one though.

Ill be coming down the M4 from london so would happily meet up with other members for a convoy.

im coming up from the south along the M4 with the trailer stopped there b4 last year cant really convoy though my top speed is only 60 but im sure ul be able to tell its me going along the M4 as u fly past mines the skoda on a trailer looks sorta like its bin in an accident

just a heads up to anyone coming that way dont drive to briskly as a fine police officer was ray gunning from the bank last year

If anyone coming along for display only has a lid designed for the larger-headed gentleman could they possibly bring it along? I'm fretting that the hire stand won't have one that fits my bonce!

Also, is there a list or thread anywhere for trackday noobs explaining exactly what we need to bring along, do's and don'ts etc? I'd find it really useful as I'm properly disorganised...

HERE is a link with FAQ's on Castle Combe site.

I have done some track days with MSE and thier FAQ's are HERE and whilst not applicable to Combe it answers general questions for ya.

From my point of view:

Do's

• Enjoy yourself
  
• Drive within your limits
  
• Bring a driving license (both parts)
  
• Get to briefing in plenty of time
  
• Remove everything that ain't bolted down from the inside of your car before going out on track. If the worst should happen you won't want a face full of CD's or spare wheel brace etc
  
• Bring a long sleeved shirt/top & trousers as you wont get on track without them
  
• Be courteous
  
• Use mirrors, if someone is faster let them past when it's safe to do so (it ain't a race)
  

Don'ts

• Get carried away and attempt to go too fast
  
• worry about others overtaking you
  
• IIRC overtake on the right @ Combe
  
• forget your dirving license
  
• forget long sleeves and long trousers
  
• Apply the handbrake when parking up after coming off track. IIRC discs are prone to cracking and pads sticking
  

Bring a folding chair for when your chilling back at base. That's about it.

Some of us i'm sure will be bringing changes of wheels (me), tools, footpumps etc so if you need to you can likely borrow bots from other members

ok im sure this has been asked but whats the deal with helmets? and i have my local clubs gazebo and plenty of chairs shall i bring them along?

Bring the Gazebo. the more the merrier. Helmet wise, bring your own or you can hire them on the day. Obviously there's no guarantee with them having enough helmets to go round if you hire but I've not heard of any supply issues so to speak.

ok well i dont own one so ill have to hire one, and ill bring the gazebo no problem. oh and is there anyone else coming from south east/london area?

For everyone else's info I sure hope all tickets & track passes have been received as its been FOUR days since they were all sent first class. If you've not got them well.... tough. Only kidding. I am hanging on to Stroudy's and magicknights is going tomorrow after clarification re the extra ticket.

Will be doing a PM tomorrow to everyone going explaining the correct entrance to go in (NOT the paddock entrance on the straight, it is the entrance on the sharp bend!) and anything else of use.

If people can bring gazebos etc, it would be good as it means I can leave the one donated to Brisky at home (It is falling to bits sadly)

Ticket has gone, to the first person who replied, posting tomorow 1st class, sorry to everyone else, but ticket now taken

In addition, all the extra tickets at half price have now gone as well. Only way to get in now is £10 cash on the gate.
