Charged For Screenwash

Featured Replies

Took the missus's Furby (1.4 Blackline Ltd) in for 30k service lastweek with a nearly new bottle of regulation VAG screenwash in the boot. Paid up when the job done to find on the itemised invoice

Tell me about it...

Last time I took my car to the dealers for a service, the washer bottle was full - and I mean full, to the brim. They wanted to charge me for topping up the screenwash. When challenged, they said "we had to take some out, first". (name and shame - it was Thompson and Thompson in Caldicot)

It wasn't the only thing with their service; nothing really serious, but too many small niggles. Needless to say, I won't be going there again - not for servicing, and not to change my car.

Never mind - a new independent VAG specialist has opened up shop not far from here (already has some good reports on SCN). I'll post something if they're any good.
