lowering springs help!

Featured Replies

i've recently purchased 17inch RS6 alloys and put them on my furby, but i was looking at it, and it kinda looked like a 4x4 cause it was so high. So i was wondering what srpings are there on the market which i could lower by, say 30-40mm drop, i want it so the arch is just above the tip my tyre.

What kind of fabia do you have?

30-40mm drop should be very possible... :)

Eibach do a couple of kits for the furby.. one that lowers about 25mm tuned for handling (cant really lower anymore due to how low the sump is on the large engined cars)

and a lowline kit that drops it 60mm

both are available from motorsportworld.co.uk altho i cant reccomend the lowline ones on a vRS, TDi or 2.0l

or you could get coilovers which are height ajustable....

anyway ive always wanted to see how those wheels look on a furby

yeah i think i will lower it 40mm looks abit high at the moment, as for my new RS6 alloys i think they look pretty beefy on my furby i'll get pics of it very soon. by the way my furby's a 1.4 can't afford the VRS yet! :o

I know what you mean.

Try this thread:

The vRS is 15mm lower than the rest of the Fabia range as standard and a further 25mm drop with the Eibachs makes 40mm. Any lower and you'll be bottoming your sump!

I have just fitted some FK coilovers onto my Fabia having had Eibach springs before. Looks much better now. Even with a full kit and 8" wide rims i have dropped it about 60mm on the front and 70mm on the rear and have had no prolems so far with grounding out. Pictures to follow shortly.
