Hello there. I have an 02 Octavia L&K Estate & the stereo system is woeful. I'm sure there's been discussion on this before but I'm buggered if I can find it. Anyway - I upgraded the head unit & that didn't really make much difference. Anyone had any luck changing speakers & if so what did you go for & how difficult was it!

It has been said that disconnecting the tweaters in the rear passenger doors is a good (and cheap) place to start.

My car was upgraded by its previous owner, with a pioneer HU (I had to add the aerial power injector unit), and Apline type S speakers with a bypass (is that the correct word?) unit in both of the front doors.

The think to watch out out is there is not much depth, and to ensure the inner door rubber/plastic seals are not damage otherwise water may come flooding into the car when it rains :S
