Golf Mk V seats in a Mk 2 Octavia vRS

Just a thought :)

Just a thought :)

VW Steering Wheel, Audi Wheels and now VW Seats ... Is this a stealth tactic to change the car from a pedigree Skoda to a VAG mongrel? Don't forget the SEAT kit too, hidden door handles for the rear doors maybe emoticon-0140-rofl.gif

I would expect less work than it took to get them in my fabia :D

Should go straight in.

Are they better?

Are they better?

Full black leather R32 - I think so, but you are welcome to disagree

Hmm, I like the back seats but not the front, just my opinion though, and I don't like leather as a rule so I was probably never gonna like these. I take you've already bought these? Hope all goes well with the fitting

When should I book you in Brimma? emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

Niiiice. How much did they set you back. I'm liking them, are they heated?

Nice find. Would have completed the all black look nicely if you hadn't fallen for those Calitos.

This is the main issue - Octavia vRS rear seat backs bow out at the top, whereas the Golf's don't, so the side cushions are essential for them to fit, unless anyone can tell me any different

So what are you doing with your Octavia seats? :)

Nothing yet - everyone seems to be assuming I've already bought the R32's, but I'm just looking at the viability issue at the moment - it's a lot to blow if they don't fit

Well the fronts will. :S

This pictures shows said side cushions which would be needed

Rear won't fit properly. Think the A3 sportback leather rear seats would be more likely to fit looking at them. That's what I'm going to investigate for mine.

Not even with the proper side cushions ?

If its just the full leather your after, why not wait for a tidy set of leather jobbies from an FL or LE? Just a thought.

Not even with the proper side cushions ?

Not even with those. Although the floorpan of the octy is the same as the golf, meaning the fronts will just bolt in the side profile of the cars panels are very different meaning that the side bolsters will not fit in the rear of the octy. You maybe able to modify them to fit, although I dont know how much work would be involved. You would need someone to remove the leather covering and modify the innards so that that they match the octy profile on the outer edge and then refit and modify the leather to match.

Cheers Manny - looks like Seat Surgeons then :)

just buy fronts then get the rears covered to match might be easier?

although the R32 seats are nicer (deeper bolsters) than the vrs its a lot of work for a 'marginal' improvement IMHO!
