Help...wanted as described on title. It's an old 20 yr old system but it still sounds great.

Trouble is I am having great difficulty replacing the cartridge and stylus that were damaged and lost a few years ago. :(

Got 600+ original 45 rpm singles and 200+ 33 albums from the 60's to early 90's that are in desperate need of a damned good playing.

My nippers love the music from that era at the moment, 'cus I'm always playing it...on CD..not the same... and singing along to the proper music as it was then.

I need to get them to listen to all my origianal stuff, before they become teenagers and get sucked into all this modern 'stuff'

Anyone any ideas where I can obtain what I require. Drawn a blank from all my local Hi Fi specialists sadly.

They don't seem to stock cartridges for Technics do they, or was I looking at that page with my half drunk numpty head on?

I managed to get hold of a replacement stylus for my 30 year old Ortofon cartridge recently...it cost more than the entire record deck did when I bought it. Still sounds good.

Where did you get it from Andy? Might be worth a phone call tomorrow to see if they can help me, if they sourced a 30 yr old cartridge for you.

Got mine from local Hi Fi shop. Sorry, cant remember the name. He had a computer terminal and found it straight away. Appeared to list every audio component ever made! It did come at a price though, but at least the system can still play vinyl.
