fabia vrs chipping

Featured Replies

Hi All

Looking to get my car remapped by my local volks specalists, and i keep hearing different stories-

that if i get it done i need a front mounted inter, pd160 intake, uprate all the plugs, and poss a new turbo &

then other people are saying i dont need anything it will be kool without them.

So really confused looking for a bit of expert advise and who better to ask. :D

Any common probs or faults with this mod

Thanks david

It depends heavily on the tuner and the map, but a normal "stage 1" remap should be written to the tolerances of the standard car with standard components.

No more needeth to be said davy_vrs.

You have just been told all the info you need to know by the purveyor of fine remaps, and let me tell you this gentleman has a very good reputation on here.

things like PD160 & Panel filter can 'help' a stage 1 map, to get the best breathing possible

well that was my next question will they be better for it just the pd160 and a wee panel filter or a cone which 1 does the justice

i know there is probally 20 thousand posts for this but better knowing for my self than reading bits and bobs of other posts

I'm thinking about getting a mild map on mine (as the warranty runs out in a few months). All I'm expecting to have problems with, in the longer term, is the clutch.

yeah am thinkin for the power and better fuel eco as its mostly motorway mileage i do so not as if i will be racing it to the death lol

a remap will give bit more power...possibly bit more mpg..use it properly and you wont have clutch issues...

If it's properly tuned, you shouldn't have any earlier than usual clutch issues :)
