Elegance Sport Suspension Option

Featured Replies

Does it lower the car? Is it just springs or springs and dampers?

Is it worth having?

Steve

I believe it is a full spring and damper upgrade and means the suspension is more like that found on the VRS. Personally if I wanted VRS handling I would get a VRS but that is just my opinion.

I believe it's actually lower than the vRS... and you get 17" wheels not 18" as with the vRS. I seriously considered it, but ended up going for the vRS... I didn't get as far as driving one so can't comment on how it drives though

I currently drive a vRS!

However, as much as I love the turn of speed, it spends it's life at 65mph on the motorway so I am thinking of a 1.6CR next to halve my company car tax bill and to try and crack the 60mpg barrier!

Saying that, I like a firm ride and hate body roll :D

I drive an Octy II with the standard suspension and one with the sport set up.

I think it's the same height as the vRS, the suspension is certainly firm and yes it makes it a lot better in terms of cornering etc. What it isn't so great for is badly surfaced roads, but then that's expected.

Thanks. Although with a 1.6 Diesel engine, I doubt I'll be hooning around many B roads!

That's what the MX5 bought with the saved company car tax would be for :D

My car is as per my signature. I'm indifferent to the sport set up and it feels no better than any other car I've driven recently.

Banging and crashing on the semi destroyed Derbyshire roads.

The road noise is also loud at motorway speed and SWMBO says she can not hear the Bolero.

Springs, shocks and heavier ARB.
