Changes to Aussie spec for Elegance

Featured Replies

I ordered a V6 Elegance Estate 2 weeks ago with Columbus and a few other extras. The dealer rang me today to tell me that Skoda Australia will be speccing the Elegance range with leather and satnav from now on (you only get leather in the V6). That is good news as the pricing on the Superb is too close to the Passat and although the Superb has quite a few more standard goodies (eg Xenon lights), the average punter may see the Passat as representing better value. This is probably because the Aussie Passat range comes with Napa leather as standard. It looks very strange to see a premium vehicle in Australia without leather seats and satnav as standard. I think that Skoda have fixed an obvious mistake in their specs and pricing.

Elegance 2.0 TDI has leather

Elegance 2.0 TDI has leather

Leather was a $3,000 option on my Elegance 2.0 TDI back in October last year, so it's good to see that the premium product will have these options as standard.

Do the 2010 model Superbs have the rear view camera and the adaptive cruise control as an option? I would love to have both of these options.

I can't see out the back very well when reversing, the curtain and dim reversing lights make it extremely difficult. At least I have the sensors which work a treat. And the adaptive cruise control would be great for all the freeway driving I do.

I would also love a reversing camera, silly it is not an optional extra as well as adaptive cruise control. I will have to check out how to do this after delivery.
