Ok, thanks, eye brows are chav-tastic, yuk!!

Unlike this glorious whale-tail rear spoiler, which isn't chav-tastic in the slightest

Quick update

Had a run out with the family today, and the handling has been transformed compared to the standard set-up

Lean on corners is greatly reduced, giving you much more confidence (still probably nowhere near dan_v8_man's standards)

But there is one BIG bonus - even SWMBO seems to be impressed

Money well spent IMHO

V-Maxx coilovers or Pipewerx DP??????

Fek it, I'll have both..........

Glad you're liking them Bryan. You managed to ground out on any speed bumps or anything yet? :) I thought I'd totally mullered mine on the curb outside Colin's house the other day. Scraped a speed cushion in Penkridge pretty badly yesterday and one in Cov last week. There's a road with insane ones on in Sheff that I'm never even going to attempt. I've got renewed hatred for the labour government and councils since lowering my car.

Couple of tips - watch out for speed cushions when you've got passengers and / or junk in the boot, even if the same humps were OK with just you in the car, the extra weight can make all the difference. Be very wary of going too far forward in parking spaces and hitting the bottom of your bumper on the curb.

Cheers for the advice Nick

No bottoming out so far, but then I've not gone completely mental on the lowering front. They've definitely made an improvement to the looks - probably mid-way between the previous Scout look and Babs lowness

Handling is an absolute king to what it was though - makes you realise how wallowy the standard suspension is

When's the next track day ?

You do realise, there's also a thread about raising the ride height on the Scout.

I'm not sure that I'd want to lower my Sport, as there's quite a few really rough roads in Germany.

I was getting to the point on some of the cobbled streets where I was tempted to see how much a Scout would be.

Brimma,

How are you finding the ride quality after having the coilovers fitted for a few weeks now ?

Mine is approaching 90K now and I'm beginning to find the shockers a little soggy (only a 2.0TDI elegance mind you).

These coilovers seem like a good deal to me rather than sticking standard replacements on, but weary about ride quality.
