Hi,

Both of my front doors on my Fabia have a buzzing/rattle noise. Turning the stereo up doesn't help, it just buzzes even more on the bass notes. Turning the stereo off doesn't help either! It doesn't make the noise all the time, only on rough roads.

Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas what causes it? Seeing as both doors make the noise I reckon it's a design failure/feature!!!

I did find on mine the speakers were not screwed in very tightly and woudl rattle. I also noticed my keys vibrate a lot, but I couls not tell where the sound was comming from for ages!

Anything in the side pockets, which could be rattling ? Stupid question but you never know

Booked in 8th Dec for just that!! Was ok until operating f/o/s window,which then decided it wanted to go up and half way down by itself 3 times,noise has been there since.Will report on WhiteQuays'(Reading) ability to sort it,and what it allegedly was!! :P

Matt, get it back into your local dealer, they should be able to rectifiy it with some sound insulation, get it fairly often.

And used to get the same problem on Audi's so dont be concerned that its becuse you bought a 'budget' VAG car.

What i'd say is give your dealer a chance to fix it.

Remember what you lot allways panic about a remap invalidating your warranty. That could in theory be applied to any work you carry out yourself on your car mechanically. Place a bit of foam in your car that isnt fire retardent for example and you could be in for alot of problems in the event of an accident.

Looks like it's a common problem then, I'll give the local dealer a call. Thing is, while the door panel is off I could fit a pair of 6.5" woofers and new tweeters so I'm kinda tempted to try and fix the rattle myself... Guess this would invalidate that part of my warantee though eh?!!

If your going to go for new speakers then yeah why not.

I've got a couple of rolls of Dynamat for when I do mine, but im going the whole hog and removing the ancilleries carrier and doing the inside of the door aswell.
