kumho ku 31

Featured Replies

has any one tried these kumho ku 31 tyres (215/45.16) on a vrs

Not tried on a fabia, but they're pretty good on the octy vrs. Out of these, vredestein sportrac3, pirelli p6000 (not really competition ), the ku31 wins for grip and noise.

Put some Hankooks on mine when they were £60 a corner - Great tyre. Hard wearing yet good in the wet

Yup, am currently running them on all four corners, and have been very impressed with them.

Reasonable price - I paid £60 per corner (Camskill Tyres +£5 fitting)

Wear well - have done 10000+ on rears and plenty of tread left. Fronts on 4000 and looking just worn in

Grip - seems fine; I don't particularly push the car often, but they have always responded well, and were more than adequate around the Evo triangle yesterday.

I've never run Toyo's so can't really comment, but anecdotally the Proxes are far grippier, but wear quicker. And I believe they are fairly heavy for the size.

As a wise man once said (apologies to the poster concerned - i can't remember who!)

Grippy

Hardwearing

Cheap

You'll only ever get two of the three

I've got them on the front of my Fabia Vrs, Continentals on the rear.....(205/45/16)
