The new boy

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Just recently purchased a Fabia vRS after finding out you can get 50+mpg on a stroll but have GTi like performance if you mash your foot into the carpet.

After just 3 days of ownership, I've come across the well documented stutter on the BLT engine. On ringing a local Skoda dealer, the best they could offer is hooking it up to diagnostics (for around 50 quid) and only then telling me if a) if it could be fixed and B) fixed under warranty.

It's a 2007 on an 07 plate (reg March 07) and done 48K

I obviously don't want to spend £50 for a sub-£2 component to fix the issue

Any help greatly appreciated

Cheers

Cheers people,

So, in a nutshell...warranty or not? My local dealer claimed Skoda don't know anything about this issue. Should I splash out for diagnostics and run the risk I pick up the bill for that + labour?

Thanks in advance

How dirty do you mind getting?
