the DRL's are P21W bulbs. Just for an pdate i read the manual again and apparently the projector lights use both H7 for both dipped and main. There is a separate light for the main beam but im not sure if the projector also increases light output. Any ideas anyone as i want some xenons.

bottom of the car on the outside of the fog lights in a separate lighting unit.

What are the standard headlights like and can you compare them to those on a pre-facelift Fabia if you ever drove one?

Looks great. Nice choice of colour. Nice interior :)

Sorry but I can't as the only other fab I've driven is the mk1 vrs. There not to bad but not been down any country lanes yet

Thanks for the info, are the DRLs switchable, i.e. can you turn them off? I think they would look good with the bulbs replaced with the multi LED bulbs you can buy and these would reduce the power drain too.

Yeh there is a switch at the bottom of the fuse box. As standard the lights come turned off apparently. Whip off the cover, press the switch and there on. I cant see them using a great deal of power anyway?

Just an update im doing around 40mpg at the moment, which is over 200 miles but its all stop start short trips at present.

That's good. It will be a big improvement for me then, the Coupe will do more like 28 - 30mpg in the same conditions :S That's a 2 litre engine for you.

Looks as if you could fit a PD160 intake onto that bad boy

Bit of a squeese but does look like it will go on!

I love that naked look on the engine, you can see all the goodies inside B)

I do like the new Dash layout too keeping it very Skod!

The 1.2 TSI only has the turbo dosent it?

Very nice car BTW! nice choice of colour white is the new black!

Yes, the 1.2 TSI is Turbo only. Most of the 1.4 TSIs (inc the one in the vRS) are Turbo and Supercharged. VAG do produce a 1.4 turbo only TSI.

I, agree the naked engine looks good. However I still like the proper battery cover on the early Mk1 Fabias.

I also think white cars look good with black roofs. Even better when done with glossy Carbon Fibre wrap. Black Magic car with a white roof just does not look right.

Its very quite. I had to check the rev counter the first time to check it was turned on. As for wind noise ive only driven round town. Going out in it tonight on the motorway so will report back :)

I was told that the se trim and above has a bit extra sound proofing

After a recent trip to Sheffield and back and i with confidence say noise isn't really an issue. In fact there is more noise from the tsi engine than the wind. For such a small engine with the OEM exhaust it actually sounds quite sporty and nice at higher revs. I cant wait to hear a vrs on the go.

Front bumper gets resprayed next week (was marked when i picked it up) and the parking sensors are fixed this week. Apart from that were on 500 miles and its great. Just brought the girlfriend a new car, couldn't get her to make the jump into a skoda so Toyota aygo all the way. If any of you haven't driven a 3 cylinder engine go try it !!

thankf for taking the time to take and post the photos. Nice looking car in white. I like those Comet wheels. They don't look too small for 16"Did you go for the -15mm lowered springs?

Hello,

I'm from Portugal :D

Beautiful car. It looks very nice in white color ....

I'm planning to buy one, and I would like to know if the factory parking sensor are useful having in account the car dimension?

According with the dealer the factory sensors interact with the display radio. The only inconvenience is that is necessary to place a special order and wait approx 3 months ... (Portuguese trim levels are different from UK)

I don't know if it really worth?

Thank you and have nice trips

Regards,

Rafael

Well today was the day, ive taken delivery of my 1.2 tsi manual fabia elegance.

The car is in candy white with a few options on it. I'm very impressed with the response of the 1.2 engine (and im coming from a vrs). Its a little laggy lower down the revs but hit 2000 and your away. Your get the feeling you could easily be in a 1.6 car. The car feels very light but i guess i was driving a big heavy diesel. The build quality seems equally as good if not better than the Mk1 fabia and the inside feels much more 2000's and business like rather than the much dated Mk1 (cant speak for the mk2 pre fl). One thing i cant quite get used to is the display which tells you when to change gear. As for mpg, the car has currently got 19 miles on the clock and is averaging 38.1mpg, i will try and keep you guys updated as i add more miles.

Any questions feel free to ask. Pics below.

Mine are broken at the moment, im waiting for some new ones to be fitted. Yes i am struggling without them at the moment. I know its a small car but the road i have to park my fabia on is quite tight so it makes parking much easier. I'm beginning to wish i'd paid for the front ones as well.

That is appalling. You don't expect a brand new car to have faults.
