Quiet Generators

Hi guys

Wondering if anyone can give me a decent heads up on generators.

I've been on the lookout for a lock up/garage for a van conversion project for while, as it stands I've been offered a garage about 800m from my brothers house but it doesn't have electricity.

Given the distance from my brothers house it rules out running an extension cable so I've began to wondering about generators, which is something I know nothing about.

The initial thought that springs to mind when thinking about generators is just how noisy they are, and I'd neither wish to run one in a confined space or inflict that noise on my brothers neighbours late in to the night. From some brief reading today it looks like generator technology has come a long way and you can get some fairly quiet generators these days.

Something like the Honda EU201seems to be the sort of thing I'm after, but with an RRP of £800 its certainly a bit more than I was budgetting on spending.

Does anyone have any experience of some of the quiet generators on offer, and any particular makes/models that are worth a look.
