Just pulled the cylinder head and found a cracked piston land, so next job will be a set of pistons made out of something which doesn't disolve in petrol...

I built the engine last year (had to skim the block because it had warped...).

Spec is a Kent SK3 cam, skimmed and ported felicia MPi head, 4 branch exhaust and 32mm minuni carbs. It has behaved itself for the last 8k miles but obviously the standard pistons dont like high revs.

It made 89bhp before the bike carbs were fitted. They are about 61bhp at the engine has standard.....
