New Superb brochure April 2010

Featured Replies

Just to let you know that I discovered today that a new Skoda Superb brochure has been brought out, dated April 2010. The Skoda UK website is still showing the old brochure effective 1st Jan 2010.

Have not had time to look into the details/differences/pricing changes (if any), but I have established that the warning triangle is no longer part of the specification, it used to be standard from the S trim upwards.

Bean counter's at work again, the old model one was £10 to buy, so expect anything up to £25 this time around, that or don't break down in Mainland Europe;)

Glad you noticed that, I thought it was only me that was a nerd ! Also, noticed headlamp washers now silver and not body coloured ! Getting ready to buy a new Superb, looking forward to not being lied to by Mr. Toyota dealers..........Skoda dealers don't do that do they............?

Good ones don't - but good look in finding one as they are a rare breed, IMO if/when you find a really good / honest dealer you should support them as much as possible, whereas the shabby / dishonest ones should be avoided like the plague and desrve to go bust.

Are salement actually tought anything about their product they are selling? I knew more about the Superb estate i recently went to look at than what the salesman did, he even tolkd me that i WILL want a 170 DSG rather than the 140 manual i was enquiring about emoticon-0114-dull.gif

When he asked why i want a 140 my answer was that my 130 had enough power for my needs, also the 140 has (over a 170):

1/ better fuel economy (he said they both had the same MPG - wrong)

2/ lower emissions (so cheaper VED)

3/ lower insurange group (19E compared to 22E)

4/ lower purchase price

Now i appreciate that most of the buyers of a Superb will be company owned / leased so the above makes little differance, but when you are paying for everything yourself it does!

He also suggested he could get me a test drive in a 140 58reg hatch (they had no 140's in) but when i said "but that will be a PD won't it?" he said eerm no, it's a CR ...... im sure it is emoticon-0101-sadsmile.gif (no, it's a PD)
