Yeti 4 x 4 Hill Hold Control

Featured Replies

Ahh but that has it's own gremlins....if you do stall the car...the stupid push-the-key-thing-in means you stall, push the key to restart and it pops out, then you have to push it in again to start the car. Plus I found that sometimes you'd let the car roll slowly in traffic and it would activate the brakes on it's own and stop dead - stupid electric parking brake! This was on a B6 Passat but I think they're the same. Much prefer the Skoda system - once you get used to it there's no problem. I still think both are unnecessary though, the handbrake is fine although the armrest on the Yeti jumbo box does make it a bit awkward. :)

Overall I like the HHC with the DSG as it makes it more like the autos I had in the past, there in theory should be no rolling backwards.

When I looked st the Tiguan, the brochure stated it held for 4 seconds. The Yeti only for 2 seconds.

Now I know for sure that HHC can be enabled via VCDS on a 4x4 Yeti (with an off-road button). All the necessary hardware, including an inclination sensor, is there :sun:

I thought it was standard for all 4x4's? whether they have the off road button on not. From what you are saying that HHC isn't standard on any 4x4....

No, it isn't standard. At least on cheaper trim levels.

Not sure what models HHC is on or if it can be enabled with VCDS but I do know it works really well, we went over the Hard Knott pass today for the first time in my life, it is a must see, HHC works as does the hill decent control, impressed.

I am happy with that, YHA.

Today after a few appointments in the north east I came home via Kielder forest and used the forest drive, quite bumpy and gravelly, Yeti is very dirty now.
