My new Candy White vRS........

Featured Replies

I picked it up last staurday and it is an impressive car. Having come from Audis, BMWs and Mercedes it is easily as good in terms of build quality. I got an amazing 56mpg on the 160 miles trip back from the dealer. If I were being picky, the only annoying feature is lack of a standard (or even optional) MFSW on the manual version. A few snaps...

I picked up mine too last Saturday and I totally agree an impressive car, even better when you think how much they cost against other brands.

I got Dunlop MAXX GT tyres and I see you got conti's.

Enjoy it and you picked a great colour :)

debadge the octavia badge for a cleaner look.

bit of floss and some white spirit, a wax and your away

Beatuiful looking..

Now I cant wait to get mine even more

Very nice looking car. I'm edging towards white myself, always worried it might look a bit chav-ish (no offence, chavs  ) but it does look very nice indeed.

Thanks all.

Hope its not too chav! I am middle aged and do not regard myself as being that way inclined! White stands out, and does look great in my biased opinion!

Don't panic - I'm the same age. Did think that "men of a certain age" should go for grey or black . . . . but the white does look fantastic, and certainly not chav-ish!

I will be 52 this year and have ordered white as well.

Looks very nice :)

I think black shows the dirt more. Dusty as soon as you have cleaned it :(

I agree with you about black looks nice till the layer of dust shows on it.I had to have black tho as im 55 lol !!I love the white ones yours looks mint .

i'm going to collect mine tomorrow .

it's in anthracite grey but i agree the white look's fab

to you guy's who've just collected was it worth the wait? and have you any 1 week tips?

also great to see the varied age group the vrs gets i'm mid forties

Most definitley!emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Check paintwork for minute 'rust like' spots as mine had tham and were a bugger to remove!

Treat it to some quality cleaning agent and polish!

PLease - get some pics posted! About to order, probably in white (and yes, I'm mid 40s!) but would love to see more grey cars before I finally sign that order form.

I drove a grey one and as I said I will be 52 this year.

I still went for white with Leather option.

Still waiting for it though emoticon-0120-doh.gif

I can't believe I have had so many comments about the vRS - all positive. People can't quite believe that you can get such a brilliant, good looking, sporty car for a fraction over £16K. Everytime I slip behind the wheel I smile to myself. i have only put on just over 300 miles in 9 days, the fuel guage reads just under three quarters full (I filled it up with about 35 miles on the clock).

A few observations, the seats are fantastic and very supportive on the sides, the steering wheel is chunky, which I like - just wish Skoda squared of the bottom like the Lean FR and Golf/Scirocco/Audi TT that would have been a great touch. The stereo is much better than I thought it would be, MDI option is good, I can control all of the iPod functionality on the touchscreen. Shame that a MFSW isn't standard, it is a bit of a bore to stretch across for the volume and to change tracks.

I have become a Skoda convert....absolutely no regrets and I am looking forward to a few years of economical and fun motoring.

Thanks, I am. It is returning over 55mpg on the motorway and an overall 50mpg with some fairly mixed driving. Very impressed. I have done 1300 miles now!

These vRS' are amazing.

I've had mine for 2 months now and just crossed 4000 miles today. Love it :)

I would have considered white when ordering my new FL VRS if the GF hadn’t already got a white A3 S-line Convertible, so to break up the drive way scheme I went back to black (my MK1 VRS was black and my current MK2 is blue).

So cleaning will be fun when I take delivery, a white and a black car to keep tip top…….. Sucker for punishment I think.

Nice pictures/car btw.
