My new "babies" arrived today

A pair of refurbed Brembo 18ZR 6-pot calipers, Delphi BG9013 350mm vented discs, Pagid 4668 pads, and HEL performance brake hoses - just need the white stickers now

Bit OTT for a diesel I hear you cry, but you only live once

Now see if I give a flying one about anyone who took the p*ss out of my grille :p

Another one ? ;)

I know nothing about all these "extras" you guys put on cars, all these little tweeks and stuff, but as Clarkson would say, "those have me sprouting a semi". No idea how good a job they will do fitted to your car but they look like, well they look good enough that it dont matter,

puts my little 312mm upgrade to shame :'(

I bet they're awesome though

I think the term would be "I've got a considerable woodie"

Your grille is still cack

Awsome........

But still not sure about the grill ha ha :p

Will these let you stop so quickly the grill will pop off the front and smash into a million bits?

Nicely done B)

How much and when are they going on?

Steve

If those brakes work as good as they look you might need one of theses too :giggle:

Don't forget to sort the rears out too, or at least the bias.

Crazy but nice Brimma, crazy but nice

Well you have got extra weight in that engine bay with the wood burning stove so suppose you need them :p

Less than £700, and hopefully Wednesday

They're off a Porsche Cayenne apparently, but haven't checked the piston sizes

Anyone got any suggestions for upgrading the rears - are the fronts compatible to put onto the back ?

I'm considering Porsche brakes for mine as well - much more ..........pleasurable than the R32 conversion me thinks........ emoticon-0110-tongueout.gif

I take my hat off to you Brimma - much respect.

you cant just go bolting big calipers on your car willy nilly mate.

The master cylinder was designed to only need to push in 4 pistons (2 front, 2 rear), you now have 14 pistons to push in with your master cylinder (12 front, 2 rear), if you go bolting on more pots on the rear you ,might find you master cylinder isnt up to the job. Its all down to the size of the pistons on the fronts.

there is a guy on the GTI forum who quite possibly the biggest geek when it comes to brakes that you will find. He'd be able o let you know how big you could go on the rear.

The R32/S3 rears will fit onto the vRS though, thats an option

+1 for the S3 rears

Even though I know the fronts do most of the work, I prefer to balance out the effort. Before I fitted the rears, there was a real noticeable "nose drop" when I put the anchors on!
