Hi guys I want to boost the performance on our 1.9 tdi Sport which I think produces 105bhp What are my options and will it compromise the Skoda Warranty ? I had a drive in a Fabia MK1 VRS and the 130bhp engine is like night and day compared to my 1.9tdi Sport Options please

Remap? And yes it will void the warranty (if they found out).

How can they tell ? Or do they plug it into a diagnostic machine at each service and what sort of cost are we looking at to get the ECU re-mapped ?

My friend has a Fabia 3 1.9tdi which he had re-mapped at Chipboost near Scarborough, it was £200 and resulted it 140bhp but he says it’s also smoother and ticks over without shaking the car now.

does a remapped 1.9tdi 140bhp 5 speed manual gearbox feel as quick as a standard vrs 1.9tdi 130bhp with 6speed box.

Of what ive been told up 70mph there faster, the extra gearing means the vrs pulls away, but lets face it, no one should be going above 70mph on the roads anyway.

Unless you are at a track

Back to the OP have you tried Shark performance? Not sure if they can help but they have the control unit where you can switch between maps, back to standard etc.... which might help when trying to avoid voiding your warranty

You can on the Isle of Man, which is part of British Isles Wikipedia - IOM Transport Sorry I think we are going off-topic a bit.
