Just goes to show not everything I say or do is a crock of sh*te

I'd be tempted to update my FZ28 if they'd put a tilting screen on the FZ38, but as it is I'm perfectly happy with mine

Theres not much difference apparently , just an evolution . focus is very quick tho and the stability programme is a bit better , according to the reviews i trolled through for a good while.

What I find absolutely phenomenal about digital cameras over the old film cameras is how slow a shutter speed you can use handheld without flash and still get a clear image

I've used mine on 1/8 of a second before and still got clear pics - can't grumble at that

Have you got a case yet - the Lowepro Apex 100AW I suggested fits it a treat

Ordered 1 from ebay , not going mad , the kids have told me to go easy . its fathers day soon and they get stuck , left a few hints, filters etc.

Jac wants to have a mooch about at the weekend , get a few pics maybe.

Pics are really good Pete

Glad to see you got yourself a decent camera at last. That disposable can't have had many pics left on it

Hmmm, thanks, maybe I'm not that thick, I was complimenting the dog that is similar in appearence to our Gus, below.

Just the one dog in these two photos though ;)

He's brilliant , and does look like Rossi , amazing how different a well brought up rottie is to peoples conception of them isnt it , we've always had german shepherds and only had a rottie because several friends were adamant how good they are , and judging by the huge no of pics you have of gus i'm preaching to the converted mate

Yes, too true, sounds like you've been down the same road as us, German Shepherd's brilliant dogs to work with but hip problems such

that we turned to Rotties, had Lotty (lost to cancer) now Gus, yes amazing temprement my nieces are 5 and 9, Gus is amazing with them

always positions himself so as he can keep his eye on them, gentle but instinctively protective. :)

Rottweilers are cracking dogs and like you say, if raised properly they're an affectionate and protective breed. No problem at all. There's rarely such a thing as a bad dog. You guys have both got stunning examples too.

For me, it's German Shepherds. Really intelligent breed. I'm a bit biased though. Here's my boy.

9 years old when they were taken. He was a big lad too, people generally steered clear of him. No reason to, he had an awesome nature. Sadly, lost him to cancer last October. No two ways about it, it's horrible when you lose your dog.

Nice photos fellas.

Man he looks like zen, we lost him last october , back legs went , its truly devastating mate yes, we lost another shepherd the year before, it was too much to get another so hence the rottie , freinds have them and 1 has our lads brother

Yeah sadly their hips are prone to it. Sorry to hear about your dogs man. Some people don't get it's the pretty much the same as losing a family member. It'll be a while before I get another one. I'd feel like I was trying to replace him and you can't do that and as dumb as it sounds I'd feel kinda 'unfaithful' about it. Sam (pictured above) was a rescue dog, some ******* idiot tied him to a train track as a puppy. Just don't get how people like that think.

You've two good looking rotties there.

Lovely looking dog and good photos, this was the fifth of six shepherds that passed through

our family, 'Luke', blessed by all of them but never had a dog of such solid temperement as him,

it's a photo of an old photo taken on a caravan holiday (he left us '97) so sorry not a great photo.

May not be a good photo but he's a handsome looking dog. Still surprises me how each dog has their own personality. Some you bond with more than others I guess.
