I have my own forum and we were at Awesome today for a RR day.

Few picutres of mine...

Made 184.2bhp

193lbs ft torque

That's totally standard with panel filter and super unleaded.

Not bad :)

Result mate  any plans for her?

Good standard figures.

Likewise, mine made 176bhp and 190lb/ft of torque which considering it's a standard engine due a service on 70k wasn't too bad in my opinion.

I need to give mine a full service and fit my px filter then get it running on some decent fuel to see how it then fares.

What were the (more important ;)) wheel figures?

161whp

Mine was 166.6 I think.

Great result for standard mate!!

Shame I missed you guys

But glad you had fun , and not a bad graph there either

Pretty impressive figures there. Has anyone compared the figures from the rolling road at Awesome to other makes of rolling road? I don't want to get into the Jabba debate and inflated figures etc, but has anyone had their car on one set of rollers and then another without changing any settings or parts?

Yes, for my last Fabia. But the other rollers were Jabba's, so perhaps that isn't going to help? :p

Jabba's versus anyone else's is fine. ;) I'm genuinely interested in the comparisons between rollers. I know there will be other contributing factors like temp, humidity etc, but still, I'd like to see.

standard (well with a K an N pannal filter) my rr was 194.7bhp at the fly wheel and 188.3 lbft

with a tweaked stage 1 map at celtic tuning (i know its not at awesome) it was 214.6 bhp and 248.6 ibft

the rr was a dastek. does this make a difference

I'll be running mine on Steve Walford Motorsport's rollers in a few weeks in Birmingham

Only difference with mine will be serviced, decent fuel and a pipercross air filter

Mine had a custom map and a green panel filter done by Jabba on their rollers 2 years ago by the previous owner and produced 214bhp and 223 ft/lb of torque, I think I will be putting it on the rollers on Sunday (rolling road day at AmD in Essex) so I will post the results up. The car has had nothing changed since then apart from a service.

Mine made 188.6 bhp / 179 ft/lb and 187.6 bhp / 179 ft/lb at Impossible Performance in October 2008

Then made 189.1 bhp / 176 ft/lb at Surrey Rolling Road last year

Both these were standard engine on the standard map (before the panel filter and DV in my signature)

It has done over 190bhp and over 180ft/lbs torque lots of times on my Liquid Gauge but I take those figures with a pinch of salt, your MAF has got to be 100% to get an accurate figure

Temp and humidity shouldn't affect the readings, I asked this before and was told the (better) dyno's will apply a correction factor taking into account temperature and barometric pressure so you don't get a much better reading in the winter just because it's colder.

If you are really hell bent on figures then yeah, I would recommend getting your car dyno'ed at at least 3 different places to get an idea of what it's really making.

Just to update this I had mine on the rollers at AmD in Essex today and it got 15bhp less than last time...WTF!? :wonder:  Only mods in the meantime were a green panel filter and Forge Split-R DV.

Some of the other Mk1s got much less than they were expecting (generic remapped ones got less than 200bhp)

Why was this do you think? Maybe it links in with the Top Gear episode where they got slower times as they spent more money on mods for the Renault?
