I must say im a little excited, have been saving for years for it, and had to wait months for it to arrive, plus ive never driven a skoda before,

bought a brand new fabia s, 1.6 tdi,

so then all you skoda fanatics, what can i expect from the car?

ill post pictures later once ive picked it up

i went for the 75 in the end, ill point out i havent bought this as a boy racers car (obviously), i bought it because of its fuel economy, its price, and obviously because the facelift makes it look superb

I dont think "Skoda" - "Fabia" And "90bhp" Would ever mix in the realms of boy racers. Hope you enjoy it mate, what colour you opt for?

I see you currently own a Berlingo, the Fabia will feel positively posh

Fuel bar? is yours digital as my elegance is a old styleee analogue needle.

I do like that, and the more i see the Mk2 the more i hope my insurance will write of my Mk1 Fabia, should know in the next week or so.

It should be an accurate digital rendering of how much fuel is left in your tank so will vary how quickly it goes down depending on how you drive.

Wonder why they've used a different fuel gage for the elegance and the s spec.

It has been traditional in the past for the fuel gauge to read full for the first 100 miles, then drop down disproportionately at the end. Would be good if they have finally got it accurate.

Elegance has the Maxidot display, which comes with analogue temp and fuel gauges. The others do not, though it is an option on the SE.

whats a maxidot display?

Maxidot is basically a digital display,s hows you which doors etc are open and provides slightly more detail about mpg etc i believe. Not seen the non maxidot display in a skoda other than in my mk1 vrs

Maxidot also gives you a countdown of how many miles you've got left in the tank based on amount of fuel left and recent driving style, here's maxidot on a facelift Fab:

i have the same buttons, but my screen looks nothing like that

The Trip Computer on my Mk1 Fabia, which doesn't have Maxidot, also does this - so I imagine this is also available on non-Maxidot Mk2 Fabias too...

all i get on mine is current trip miles, and km/hour and the time?
