Radio reception

Featured Replies

On our Fabia MY56 the Radio reception on okay on FM. But Its total rubbish on MW. The interference is so bad you cannot listen to it, does anyone else have this problem and if you had, what can I do to rectify it, Thanks DEEDEE

Is it OK across all of the FM band or just strong stations. Chances are the booster in the base of the aerial has had it due to water ingress and the aerial needs replacing.

Are you using the standard stereo or an aftermarket one? As mentioned the aerial needs boosting, the standard stereo has a booster unbuilt but an aftrmarket one will need an extra booster which you can pick up easy enough from your skoda dealer ( halfords charge about twice as much for the same thing). Other than that it's likely to be a rusty aerial base, needing a replacement.

Gosh, do you need to buy a booster for the aerial if fitting an aftermarket radio? This will be essential in my case as I'm lookin to fit a DAB HU. lol!

Does anybody know the answer to the above? I'm pushin the post up because I've been searching the forums here for about an hour lol.
