HTC Touch 3G and Bolera

Featured Replies

Just took delivery of my SE Estate with MDI - bloody brilliant car btw. One problem though. I have an HTC Touch 3g and whilst the car finds the phone it asks you to enter a 16 digit pin code but the phone will only accept up to 12 characters. I have tried this with an HP PDA but again only 12 characters can be entered. Is this a problem with the Windows Mobile 6.0 OS? I can set up a Blackberry Bold with no trouble at all I just cannot seem to get either of these two Windows Mobile PDAs to connect. Any advice chaps.

I've not tried it (dont have the car yet, or a winmo device) but theres a post here that might help. Clicky

Thanks Newbie, much appreciated. Still can't get past the car giving me a 16 digit passkey and my Touch 3G only accepting a maximum of 12 digits though :-)

My HTC HD2 is on windows mobile 6.5 and accepted the 16 digit key OK - can you upgrade?

My HTC Touch Diamond 2 accepted the pin without any problems, needs the latest firmware though from HTC's website. If the phone has a phone providers firmware on it, then this may prove somewhat problematic.
