Creaking and squeaking/ pulling in the vrs

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Picked up my fabia vrs yesterday. So far i love it. Only things i think that may need looking at are as follows:

Seems very 'squeaky' over bumps in the road. this doesnt really bother me, aslong as it isnt a fault or problem.

The car occasionaly seems to pull to the left, very very slightly. I would imagine this is wheel aligment or balance.

If anyone could offer any adivce to me i would be very grateful.

Thanks,

Jack.

I think the pull is related to the curvature of the road, my car does it and I had the allignment and balance checked. :)

apparently, (not my words, these) the car is designed to pull to the left, so if you fall asleep at the wheel on the m'way, it will hit the rumble strips and wake you up..

as i said, not my words...

Torque pull will pull car to the nearside (left) as normal trait of Fabia VRS (mine always has).

Long dry days will allow rubbing take place in suspension, get a few days of wet all-will-be silent.

Nothing to be alarmed about, more annoyng than anything serious.

My drivers window squeaks something cronic after a long dry spell, then quiet as a mouse after some rain.

More than likely the front Anti Roll Bar bushes, Give them a squirt with some silicone based lubricant & see it it helps, Use this method on other bushes Etc to see if the noise changes to help with location ...

2 Crisps on the front Arb though :D
