Me too! It was a dark red when it was advertised. Shame the ad isnt still viewable. Id love to see the green one now!

Strangely I seem to have a couple of images saved on my computer of a metallic red vRS. Is this the one? Only thing is, it shows it on an 04' plate! (Now read above posts to confirm OY plate and 2004 is correct). It has got leather though, and colour coded handles. However the old style vRS logo on the boot!

Ahh yeah thats it! I kinda like it, but then think its only cos its a colour that isnt seen often. I`d love to know what happened to it? the Garage sent it back, he didnt want cars with "history" as he put it.

Pure speculation but maybe an early (04 plate not 54) SE prototype, old Octy style vRS

badge but, colour coded door handles pre face lift, maybe a rejected SE candidate

that found itself on the market as an 'oddity'.

That sort of paint job done aftermarket would be big bucks.

edit : has facelift rear light clusters as well

I have an 07 plate Black Magic VRS registered 28/04/2007 with a build date of 29/03/2007, confirmed by the many dated labels on the backs of trim etc and from the build sheet.

So is one of the last built and registered in th UK.
