VRS Seats

Featured Replies

Evening all

I want to give my 2004 VRS the once over tomorrow. I've got all the stuff to clean the car but I'm a bit unsure what to use on the white/grey/silver part of the interior and seats. Does anyone have anything tried and tested that brings them back to their best again?

Their just a bit grubby and tired at the moment.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated...

hi - hope this isnt too late.

i personally would use autoglym. their hi foam interior shampoo works a treat. spray it on leave it settle for a good 5 mins and then scrub away, brings up the light carpets on the vrs - they look like new. you can coat the entire seat and surrounding carpets in it, let it do its stuff and then rub off (scrub and reapply for deep soiled areas)

then i use autoglym vinyl and rubber care. i use a small spray of this on a cloth and then run over the black leather parts of the seats - this gives a good show room shine to the leather.

and then to finish off i use autoglyms auto fresh to spray onto the carpets, mats and the non leather (white/grey) parts of the seats to freshen up the general smell of the car.

i know its all auto glym products but their stuff is bloody good and cheap and if you do what i have said above - you will not be disappointed.

hope this helps

I did mine last weekend with a Rug Doctor.

Go to their website to find your local stockist, cost me £27.99 for 24 hours with the cleaner/anti-foam.

Sorry mate couldnt resist it, you pleased with the result?

I had all the intentions of doing some pics mate but it took me about 4 hours and a lot of travelling before I found someone who had an RD in stock.

I finally took all the seats out at around 3PM and before I knew it I had the dashboard apart and the old carpet out.

I finally got all the seats in around 10PM :giggle:

It made a major dfference, I don't think they have ever been cleaned :dull:

I now need a decent cleaner that I can use to finish the door cards and to keep the seats clean.

If the AG stuff is good I might give that a shot.

Dont you find the whole car feels different inside?, speaking personally, I was amazed at the amount of dirt that came out and

how fresh it made the interior feel.

I was stunned at how dirty the water was tbh :giggle:
