Urgent: Can't open drivers door!

Featured Replies

Can't believe my luck - locked the car and just checked by pulling on the outside drivers side door handle. The cable must have disconnected or snapped becuase it now feels loose and doesn't open the door.

However, the handle on the inside won't open the door either! How the hell am I supposed to get the door open to get the door card off? :o

Any help appreciated

Save yourself a load of hassle and call a vehicle locksmith. This is a seriously difficult problem to over come without causing a load of damage to the door card.

You can get the panel off with the door closed. It is alot easier if the window opens, you can lean in and remove the screws on the lower edge.

Thanks for the replies.

I have just got the car back from the bodyshop - the outside door handle had been removed, so must be related. Will get the lad to have a look at it tomorrow.
