219bhp Vrs Being Sold At A Main Dealer

Featured Replies

Whilst browsing the Skoda site I came across a Yellow Jan 02 vRS being sold by Ingram Skoda in Paisley. Appears to be normal spec but with an output of 219bhp!

No doubt a remap/chip but it would be interesting to know if it maintains its Skoda warranty etc.

Does anyone else know of main dealers openly selling Skodas with performance enhancement?.

Regards Nick

I think a few of them do...can't remember off the top of my head which ones they are,

but I think it's covered somewhere in the forums...

Warranty seems to be quite a subjective thing - I can imagine if you had a modified car

from the dealer, and took it to the dealer for warranty work and servicing they would

probably turn a blind eye. If you took it somewhere else, they might refuse to do the

work under warranty.

So I wouldn't imagine the circumstances would be much different from if you had it

chipped yourself...

This dealership is new and has big competition in the area so it needs customers badly! It was an ex-Audi dealer and lost it's franchise so picked up Skoda instead. I will saunter round and have a look at it to see what it's like.

They have another silver one there just now in the showroom.

Welcome to Briskoda, Barry!

When I was testing the Fab Rs on Saturday - I mentioned Briskoda to the guy (the MD of the dealer in Ashford) and that quite a lot of people had chipped their cars. He was interested when i said that 4x4s could be chipped up succesfully - said he might try it with one that they have had in the showroom for quite a while without being able to shift. So there might be a chipped 4x4 for sale in a little while (I think it was Eucalyptus green  ).

Was good to see that he didn't seem to have any "attitude" when discussing chipping etc which bodes well :D

Ingram didnt lose their Audi Dealership they just moved it to their other branch in Ayr which now solely sells Audi! I test drove the Yellow vRS. It had an APR chip in it which you could switch on or off with the cruise control button - very cool and very quick............

what price was it going for just out of interest
