40k Service

Featured Replies

I need the dreaded 40k service and MOT!

I've phone a couple of places up prior to the one I normally use. The best price i've got for a full 40k Service, MOT and Brake Fluid change is £300.00. That's a dealer by the way.

What have other people being paying for their biggish services recently?

I was just looking at some of my old service invoices and am hopeful that this figure can be beaten somewhat by the local dealer as I've just had to fork out £300 for my Uniroyal RS2's

Cheers in advance

that doesnt sound to bad, sorry to pee on your parade but youll find the dreaded 60k service (cambelt, water pump) will be the one to save for, especially if you need any additionals as well as this work.

hey , it always helps if we know where you are based too ;)

60k is getting done privately I would have thought, so it won't be silly dealer prices.

Sorry, Yorkshire is where I am. :)

I used to live in Langold and work at Awesome GTi and travelled

its not that far , they will look after you

Plus they have a great offer on just now with their service prices

40K service? Pah! That's nothing - mine's coming up for its 120K service and I think the clutch is on it's way out. SWMBO won't let me take it anywhere except Robinsons in Norwich (although admittedly they are superb). Now that's going to be pricey!

I'm seriously considering trading it in for an '07 plate that's done half the miles and has xenons. I'm working on the basis that the service is going to cost me £750-£800 at which point it starts to look attractive to hand mine over plus £2500 for a theoretically nicer car.

All booked in for DM Keith in York at the end of August - £285 all in. Very pleased with that. Craig on the service desk was brilliant.

I originally booked in with Royce Roberts, but opted in the end to go with DM Keith.

I just hope they turn out to be as good as FR Pulleyn were (prior to Martyn Beever).
