Chipping your Yeti

Featured Replies

Does the diesel remap affect the off-road button settings?

No, not at all.

Thanks, Shark!

May go for this in the near future - depending on how co-operative my insurance company are.

The CR170 is good for 205bhp and the cost is the same at £449.

The thought of my Yeti having more power and far more torque than my previous Audi TT Mk II along with a combined fuel consumption of around 50 mpg is rather, if not very, tempting. emoticon-0178-rock.gif I may have to change insurers but with the £600 a year I'm currently saving by changing to the Yeti from a TT, I can't see this as too much of a problem.

However, does anyone know whether this would affect the Skoda warranty? I guess it would if the engine developed a fault.

whats the cost for chipping my 1.2'...and what bhp/torque would it yield

Shark_90 I don't mean to sound disrespectful but how many of the new VAG CR TDi 2.0 litre engines have you actually remapped?

Just asking as I have heard it is not possible, (at this moment in time anyway) because of the security on the ECU .

It is absolutely possible even on the protected ECUs, but if the ECU is protected then it needs to come out to do the job.

To be honest I couldn't count how many we've done but I can think of at least three forum members who have had their protected 2.0TDI CR cars done by us, including the site's owner ;) See his account here: http://briskoda.net/forums/blog/1/entry-95-when-shark-performance-attacks/
