Hi,

The wife's Corolla Verso 1.8VVTi has a slightly wobbly idle characteristic. It idles normally for a while, then chugs down to about 500rpm for a second or two, then idles normally for a minute or so, before coughing again.

Air filter has been checked and is ok, fuel filter could probably do with changing anyway.... any other options?

Have the bucket tappets and camshaft checked ASAP.
