Touch up and polish for Diamond silver

Featured Replies

I am wondering if anyone knows a good chip touch up stick for my Fabia Diamond silver, i tried the Halfords one and it looks dark grey no matter how much you shake it.

Also what would be the best polishes and waxes to get a really deep shine out of it. Thanks

Get it from th dealer, its cheaper there than halfords and a proper match,

Why not buy it direct from Skoda? Comes as two parts, the paint and the clear coat. You can pre-mix these if you like

As above, get it from the dealer, was approx. £7 when I got one about 3 months ago.

Can't go wrong with AutoGlym Super Resin Polish!

Although it doesn't have much of a cut too it, more a filler. Check out detailing world. You'll get a quick answer from them.

ok I pressed a wrong button somewhere - coulda sworn I just replyed.

Anywho - always use SRP on my Furby. Tried Megs but it just didnt quite have the same effect.

Wax - Either Dodo Juice light fantastic - or my favourtie is R222 concourse. goes on easy comes of like a dream leaves a gorgeous finish BUT you'll need to reapply it ideally with every wash, every other wash at a push. And you can forgett beading with this wax... oh no with this wax your car will actually repel water!!!!!! I call it rivering. Try it and see its the most amazing sight in the world ever :D

Get the touch-up stick from your dealer, as it will match correctly, and is < £10. :)

As for polishes, Autoglym Super Resin Polish & Extra Gloss Protection (polish & sealant, respectively) work well and last for ages. :)
