The mind does boggle as to the thought process behind how they decided that this would be a good use of a marketing budget! It is obviously about 'building brand'- but CSI on channel 5?? Would have loved to have seen the rationale from the marketing company to justify this.

Given the waiting lists for the car, maybe it would have been better to have spent the money on fixing the brochure or something else more useful?

There was also a full page ad at the back of The Observer on Sunday (which seemed to have been photoshopped as it made th car look wider and lower than real life!)

Since they can't meet demand, and only have VAT free offers on Octavias, Fabias and Roomsters, I don't understand why they're bothering to push sales at all. Would be much better to concentrate on maiking cars with the options we want (spare wheels, dry sunroofs and 1.6TDI engine).

What was even more peculair was that one of the ads focussed on the sunroof!!!!!! It showed some hair gel on the ceiling next to the sunroof and then asked if the driver had been off-roading. Why make ads that focus on something you can't order anymore?!?

Sounds like the basis of a complaint to the Advertising Standards Authority for misleading advertising. Anyone care to take SUK to task on this?

Hi, I presume the demand is from outside of the UK? I ordered my car late April, and got it in July and my dealer, had only sold 3 others in that 12 week period, have things changed?

I think I read somewhere that Skoda are going to increase Yeti production once they've moved the Roomster (or another model) to another factory, so the start of a new advertising campaign may be to stimulate demand for when capacity increases.

So Roomster buyers better buy them now before the move as there will be a new learning curve for the new factory workers building it in the new plant. When Fiat did the final facelift on the Barchetta they took the manufacture in-house after Maggiora that used to build them went bust. It is well known that the in-house built Bachettas built by Fiat are far inferior to the older ones! So lets hope the Roomster suffers a better fate.

BUT at least it means Yetis will be built at far greater numbers and the people that will be ordering them should get them faster than us early(ish) adopters.

If you order a Roomster SE you get a panoramic sunroof whether you want one or not!
