Which colour

Featured Replies

I am undecided about which colour to go for, Our current car is in Ford Performance blue which is very similar to the race blue which is my wife's current choice. Can anyone post a picture of a White and a Red vrs hatch as I need something to try and tempt the wife away from another blue car. The brochure colour swatch is useless.

Thanks

Stick with blue it is a great colour!!!!!!!!

Race blue the ONLY colour for an Octavia vRS

white, looks top, put the £400 towards some toys or a new sofa or something.

Red is the only colour of course!

It has to be white . . . . (it's the new blue!)

anthracite grey... :smirk:

I had the same problem, in the end i have ordered blue.

Going against my earlier opinion: blue if its your first. Its a rite of passage surely. :giggle:

I went for Black. Its stealthy.

TBH - You can not go wrong with any of the colours, even the yellow looks nice!! It is all down to personal choice and how much effort you put in to cleaning the thing;-)

BLUE the classic choice, but then I am a tad biased.......!

I have seen pictures of VRS in Blue, White, Black, Silver, Yellow, Red, Grey..... They all look good. I think I once saw one in the dark red colour and that was nice. So has anyone got a picture of an VRS in a non typical colour?

Simon

I'd say be different and go for either Red (save £400), Anthracite, Black or Silver.

Red, Silver hide dirt quite well. emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

If you are at all concerned about resale then best to go with Blue, Black, Grey or Silver and avoid Red, White & Yellow. Whilst they might not sell for much more Blue, Black, Grey and Silver will probably sell a lot quicker. All the colour choice surveys have these at the top of their lists. If you go Yellow you've clearly got b*lls or you plan on keeping the car until the end of time.

+1, and with the FL front end it look menacing.

definately planning on keeping the car for a very long time :)

if my b*lls don't show up, i'm getting a wig, beard n sunnies to use while driving!!!

tinted windows can only do so much!!

bhahahahaa

I would have said Race Blue had it not been for the fact I already have a Race Blue one. Due to change when my new car arrives.

My new one is Candy White.

Best colour currently available at the moment.

I also love the Yellow for the vRS, its Sporty and exclusive, but its an acquired taste.

I guess I was boring an I've ordered race blue.

Yellow isn't for me and white would be too hard to keep clean given the miles I do

I wouldn't have another new car in black - it's hard work to keep it looking good as it shows up the dirt and black will show up every single mark!

I would have been happy with grey or silver and probably red. What swung it for the blue is that it's a similar colour to my current company car and that hasn't seen any wax in 100,000 miles but still looks good when it's cleaned with minimal effort.

All personal choice

For me it would be anthracite, just looks IMO a little classier, also rare enough to be different. Bright colours always make cars look bigger. Safe bet is Silver, always looks Ok & easy to sell on.

Whatever you choose try & see one in the colour & make sure its a VRs a bit of phoning will locate one, even if its s/hand. Dont be fooled by the dealer, we looked at an Octavia in Cappachino & it looked Ok but I made sure In saw a Scout in it before ordering, glad I did as it just looked dull with the different bumpers

I went for black. Big mistake, it looks f'kin awful unless its just been washed. It'll be ordering blue when the mk3 is released.

Ive done the same. Ill really miss the blue but to get another blue wouldn't feel like ive changed much and I really like the white, even more so on the FL.

Off to the dealer tomorrow to hopefully place our order, Think I'm going for a white one, I will be getting the wheels done in Gloss Black. Looking at all the posts about delivery times I should get it for March 1st

:giggle:

I am glad you haven't chosen blue, common as muck they are and we need a bit of exclusivity

anthracite grey... :smirk:

+1......looked at all the options and what was available came up with the following to summarise it..........

Red...... Wife hates Red Cars :0(

Race Blue a bit too in your face for business .....only a personal choice so please no flames, doesn't mean that I don't like it, Saw one at the rally show at Chatsworth with the BBS alloys looked lush

Sprint Yellow.....Speaks for itself...run a mile from it

Black...... A nightmare to keep clean, my First Octavia Vrs was Black and my wifes Mazda 3 is Black

Silver.....4 Years of owning a silver one.....I wanted a change

Polar White.....looks awesome on the Vrs, ...BUT lots of motorway mileage so ends up a multi coloured bugsplat fest....

Anthracite Grey Onyx....loved the colour when I looked at an LE.......easy to keep clean, stealthy and looks good for business.....Ticked all the boxes for me
