Best long life oil for variable service?

Featured Replies

Which is the best? I know there are lots of differant ones, but which would be the best to use for my Occy VRS, also how many litres do i need for a change?

Cheers.

The various choices available are listed in the Articles section here. As to which is best, your guess is as good as mine. If it helps, I believe that Castrol SLX Longlife II and Shell Helix Ultra X were the first Longlife oils available through VAG dealers, and Fuchs supply the factory fill oil. Autodata CD-2 lists gives the engine oil capacity as 4.5 litres including filter change.

It's the stuff they use at the factory, so at least you know it won't Fuchs up your engine :D
