Anybody have VAG-COM etc... near Sheffield?....Hopefully now sorted....

Featured Replies

Just been out in one of our Fabia vRS's and whilst stood at some lights had a judder from the engine and the engine warning and ESP lights came on. Turned off the ignition and then started her back up and the ESP light has cleared but the engine warning light is perm. lit. Also got less power and at times a rough idle.

Anybody have VAG-COM in the Sheffield area who could assist in seeing what might have gone wrong before i take it to the stealers???

Cheers

Dave.

Further update.....

Had the RAC out as couldn't start the car as mentioned above. The guy asked me to try turning the engine over so he could have a listen and it started straight away!!!!! Still had the engine light on and also the glow plug light flashing away but it started. The RAC chap banged the diagnostics on and it flagged up a couple of errors one of which was an issue with injector no.1.

So he followed me down to the stealers in case there were any issues and i left it with them. Got a call a couple of hours later saying that they had had it on the diagnostics for half an hour and then given it a good 30mins test drive and all the alarms had stayed clear. They suspect some debris etc... has gotten through the fuel filter and then went into injector no.1 but that the injector had then at some point cleared the debris hence the alarms now staying clear once reset.

They said to have a good drive in it over the weekend to make sure the car stays alarm free. So everything crossed that it all behaves itself.

Cheers

Dave.

Sounds a bit odd Dave - but fingers crossed it now remains problem-free

I can't remember now as it was a couple of weeks ago..... I know there were two codes pulled off by the RAC guy and one of them was something like "Error injector no.1" on his laptop. I can't remember the other now i'm afraid.

Cheers

Dave.

No problem if you have any more faults i have a VCDS
