INSP came on my mileometer this morning so i hooked up my vagcom software but couldnt find any way of resetting it so i did a quick search on the web and found this

at the bottom left hand side of you speedo there is a button press this and hold it in then turn on the ignition release the button as soon as the word oil appeares. Then turn the button to the right until the word oil is erased and replaced by _ _ _ then switch egnition off.

repeat this for insp hope this works for you

just tryed it and it works for INSP

That is fine if you are on fixed servicing, but if you are on variable, then you need to use vag-com or another reset tool via the diagnostic socket.

cheers for that i did wounder why i couldnt reset it via vagcom couldnt find the reset menu anywhere i had asked the question a few months ago "how to reset INSP" and was told then that it had to be done via VAGCOM but on mine i didnt need to

Tells you in the owners manual how to reset it

Fabia mk1 is fixed services so its fine
