already posted a few times but only officially a skoda owner as of today.

Picked up a 08 octavia vrs tfsi estate today. So far so good, feels nice and solid, good to drive and pretty quick. Having driven a clio 172 for the past 5 years its a bit odd getting used to the vrs, more used to thrashing the high revving clio so will take a bit of getting used to the vrs. with the 172 all the real power is at high revs through to 3rd gear where it levels off pretty quick after that. the vrs seems to have power all through the gears but requires more gear changes to realy get the benefit of it all. what i did realy like was how solid the vrs felt at speed, the little clio went like mad but always felt like it was about to fall apart or explode. without sounding like a soppy sod i dont think ill enjoy the vrs like i did the clio, its like going from a dirty one night stand to finding someone you could live with, one as all the thrills and excitment the other reliabilty with the occisional thrill. any how ill report back in a few weeks, you never know the vrs might yet turn out to be a dirty little minx afterall !

:giggle: welcome to the fold
